Villa Mondragone Wedding, Frascati (Rome) — Maria & Pasquale
Wedding at Villa Mondragone (Frascati, near Rome / Castelli Romani)
Emotion: the key to everything.
Set against the backdrop of the magnificent 16th‑century villa on the outskirts of Frascati—just a short drive from Rome—Villa Mondragone becomes the perfect stage for an unforgettable wedding.
Context makes the difference.
Choosing the right venue is essential for ensuring the day unfolds in the atmosphere we’ve always dreamed of, much like the formal structure of a work of art. Yet what truly matters is the content: when substance and form blend seamlessly, that’s where magic is born. With the right emotional distance and shooting perspective, we capture intimate, meaningful moments.
Your story: what truly matters.
Without drifting into endless speeches, the essence lies in what we carry inside us: our relationships, our stories. Photography must safeguard those stories; if it stops at mere aesthetics—as much of today’s market does—only a veneer of fleeting beauty remains. Cookie‑cutter shoots, suspended in a timeless void, devoid of personal reference. Our goal, instead, is to tell what counts: a story narrated with respect for differences, uniqueness, and sensitivity. Every couple is unique. This isn’t a fashion shoot; it’s a service for family memory—and every family is unique.
The elegance of Villa Mondragone and of emotions.
In this setting—celebrating life, love, and the child soon to be born (yes, the bride is expecting)—every relationship expresses itself freely, emotionally. Villa Mondragone intertwines perfectly with this richness of feeling, thanks to its frescoes, terraces, gardens, and loggia. Thus begins a celebration of life that encompasses everything: a sacred moment, a priceless instant, a party with the closest loved ones… a profound lightness, a joy firmly rooted in strong bonds.
In conclusion.
Amid lights and shadows, laughter and tears of emotion, the challenge is to find just the right transparency to bring your story into focus. A unique story—just as the photographic narrative must be unique.
Technical note. A film-like wedding
For colour correction and post-production, we have opted for a customised development with tones and atmospheres typical of certain film stocks. Each commission is built around the tastes and needs of the individual couple. The possibilities of digital development have by now reached and surpassed the quality of film, whose peculiarity lies exclusively in the uniqueness and non-replicability of the negative (whereas RAW—the digital negative—can be replicated ad infinitum). We, as Studio Nove100, also offer film services. However, if you choose this route, it makes sense to opt for an entirely film-based service. Carrying out hybrid services—with only a few analogue frames and the vast majority of photos in digital—is a solution that makes no sense. These are technologies so distant and different that they run on two completely separate tracks. The problem is the cost of truly good film stocks, which has now easily exceeded €30 per roll. We do not feel comfortable advising you to economise by choosing low-end rolls; it simply wouldn’t make sense.
